In total, Cliff has had 41 Gold/Silver discs.

Eagle-eyed Cliff chart-watchers will notice quite a difference between the World and U.K. positions. Cliff's Christmas chart-toppers "Mistletoe and Wine" and "Saviour's Day" were big sellers in the U.K., but don't figure in the World list.

In January, 1961, "The Young Ones" set amazing records for it's time.
Released on Friday, January 8th 1962, the single sold over 524,000 copies with advance orders over one million to be No.1 on Monday, January 11th.
It smashed straight into the chart at No.1. Cliff was the first British artist to ever achieve this feat (following Americans Al Martino and Elvis Presley-twice).
In these days, record shops were NOT open on Sundays, so Cliff's amazing record sales were based on just two days sales!

In the 60's, Cliff won a staggering 21 U.K. Silver Discs for sales of over a quarter of a million (from "A voice in the wilderness" to "Congratulations"). Cliff's run of 26 consecutive Top Tens, broken only when "On my word" peaked at No.12 in June, 1965, is still the highest achieved by any male artist in chart history.

Of his most recent singles:
The Best Of Me (1989) was SILVER,
I Just Don't Have The Heart (1989) was SILVER,
Saviour's Day (1990) was SILVER,
The Millennium Prayer (1999) was GOLD.
