Cliff's duet with Olivia Newton-John Suddenly reached the Top 20 in 1980 in both the U.K. and U.S. singles charts. Backing musicians featured on She means nothing to me included: Mark Knopfler, Pete Wingfield and Stuart Colman. Cliff's biggest duet is Living doll (a solo No.1 for Cliff in 1959) recorded with The Young Ones. Three weeks at No.1, it achieved a Gold Disc and spent 11 weeks on the chart in 1986. Also in 1986, Cliff's duet with Sarah Brightman All I ask of you taken from the stage musical "The Phantom of the Opera" hit the Top Three and sold a Gold Disc. Cliff's duet with Van Morrison Whenever God shines His light (A Top 20 hit in 1989) is, in fact, Van Morrison's highest ever placing on the U.K. singles chart. Two Cliff duet hits Had to be and The Wedding were both taken from Cliff's stage musical "Heathcliff". Cliff's hit duets span 27 years.
